Invention Labs was founded by alumni of IIT Madras. With a diversity of experience gained from working for multinational corporations like American Megatrends, KPMG, Capital One and Infosys, the founding members of Invention Labs possess a rich outlook to problem-solving in general, and engineering in particular.

Adib Ibrahim: Adib handles product marketing and user interface design at Invention Labs. Prior to joining Invention Labs, Adib worked with KPMG in their technology consulting practice advising banks and private equity companies on their technology strategy. He has also worked with i2 technologies as a product manager of procurement and inventory management systems. Adib holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras.

Ajit Narayanan: Ajit heads research and development at Invention Labs. He was working with American Megatrends Inc. before he returned back to India to found Invention Labs. Ajit has 17 patents pending with the USPTO and 1 PTC application. His areas of interest include embedded systems design, microprocessors and microcontrollers, computer languages and technical documentation. Ajit holds a B.Tech and M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, where he was awarded the Motorola Prize.

Aswin Chandrasekaran: Aswin manages the day-to-day operations of Invention Labs. Prior to founding Invention Labs, Aswin worked with Capital One Financial Services Inc where he managed product strategy and facilitated execution of monthly marketing campaigns across multiple functional teams for a portfolio of close to 4 million credit card accounts with $3 billion in outstandings. Aswin holds an MS in Operations Research from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras.

Preetham K Shivanna: Preetham is the head of engineering at Invention Labs. He handles mechatronics, mechanical designs and embedded systems programming. Preetham holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras. His research activities at IIT Madras included the design and manufacture of an electric bike, and the design of a submersible vehicle. Preetham worked at Infosys Technologies as a software engineer before founding Invention Labs.
